In age of Ramayan, assessment of astronomical events used to be done on basis of Bharatiya Vedic Astronomy principals. Present Bharatiya Astronomy principals are different from those. So, first of all, principals were established according to Bharatiya Vedic Astronomy because each astronomical event is described on base of Bharatiya Vedic Astronomy.
Use of Astronomy software prepared on base of present age astronomical science helps to assess astronomical situation of concerned timings. Astronomy software is prepared by Panchang (ephemeris) available with help of institution like NASA. We can get very accurate and good results, but during research, errors were noted. They needed to be corrected. After correction, it was used in research work.
